Who Will Take the Trophy This Year?

ReSport Charitable Trust's annual Business-to-Business Challenge is now halfway through, and Northland businesses are proving that a little friendly competition can create a lasting community impact.

Through ReSport's flagship Champion a Good Cause programme, participating businesses, sports hubs and organisations are collecting quality sports gear, raising funds and helping spread the message that no one should be left on the sidelines.

The challenge celebrates partnership, collaboration and community, with points awarded for gear donations, fundraising and promoting ReSport across social media. The winning business will receive the Business-to-Business Challenge Trophy, a prize package of vouchers and, of course, full bragging rights. Second and third place will also be recognised, but ultimately everyone wins through the opportunities created for Northlanders.

Previous winners include Northland Rugby Union (2024) and CDL Group Ltd (2025). The question now is: Who will take the trophy this year?

For the first time, ReSport has also launched a Givealittle page, giving the wider community an opportunity to get involved and support the challenge.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create opportunities for someone to participate in sport and recreation.

• $3 helps one person.
• $15 helps five people.
• $30 helps ten people.
• $150 helps fifty people.

Whether your donation is great or small, every dollar helps keep quality sports gear in play, reduces waste through circular solutions and supports more little—and big—kids to enjoy the game they love.

Community members are encouraged to support the campaign by making a donation through the Givealittle page and, when donating, letting ReSport know which participating business they are supporting. That business will receive additional points towards the challenge.

"This challenge is about far more than winning a trophy," says Project Lead Sharon Gibson. "It's about businesses working together, supporting one another, giving back to their community and helping create opportunities that may not otherwise exist. That's what Champion a Good Cause is all about."
